Who we are

We're an independent consultancy, and assistive technology is all we do. Most of our work is in the medico-legal sector. We work with children and adults with brain injury and complex disability, and with the case managers, deputies, solicitors, therapists and families around them. We're based in Yorkshire and work across the UK.

Why work with us

  • A specialist team

Assistive technology isn't an add-on to our work. It is our work. Our consultants come from teaching, therapy, engineering and rehabilitation backgrounds, and here assistive technology is their whole job.

  • Independent

We're not tied to any manufacturer, so we recommend what the person needs and will use.

  • In person

We assess at home, school or both, with the family and the support team.

  • Part of the rehabilitation team

Assistive technology works best as part of a person's rehabilitation, not alongside it. We work with speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, physios and psychologists, and we come to MDT meetings.

  • With the people around the person

The family, support workers and school staff are there every day. Their buy-in to the technology is essential, so we work alongside them and give them the technical knowledge and understanding to keep it going, and to adapt it, without us.

  • What's changed for clients

See real cases on our pages for case managers and deputies and solicitors. We've removed names and identifying details.

Why we do it

We believe technology is the great equaliser. The aim is a better quality of life for each person we work with, on their terms. Sometimes that means more independence. Sometimes it means the right support in the right place, so their energy goes on the things that matter to them.

We judge our work by what the person can now do, and by whether the people around them can keep it going without us. Our aim is a confident, independent support team, so that we're not needed for the day to day. That's what makes assistive technology good value. The rehabilitation and quality-of-life benefit carries on long after we've stepped back, and we're still on hand when something changes.

Our mission: to inspire people to embrace and drive what can be made possible through the use of technology.

Our values: client centred, quality first.

We've helped more than 500 people do more with technology since 2017.
