At access: technology, we are dedicated to actively engaging with and supporting our local communities. We believe in giving back and fostering strong connections through various initiatives and partnerships.

Here are some of the ways we are currently involved in our community:

Sponsorship of Leeds Powerchair Football Club

We are proud sponsors of Leeds Powerchair Football Club, an organisation that empowers individuals with physical disabilities through the exhilarating sport of powerchair football. Our sponsorship contributes towards facility hire, ensuring that players can enjoy the game and develop their skills. We are committed to promoting physical and mental wellbeing and our partnership with the Leeds Powerchair Football Club reflects our dedication to these values.

“access: technology provide innovative solutions to people with extraordinary needs, LPFC provide football opportunities to people who cannot access mainstream football. This partnership is not just about money, it's about sharing a common culture to provide life changing opportunities to people , many with life limiting conditions, to build memories for families and individuals that will last a lifetime.”

Support for Community Stars CIC, Knaresborough

Community Stars CIC in Knaresborough is a fantastic organisation that focuses on enhancing the lives of disabled individuals through a range of activities and programmes. We support Community Stars CIC by providing funding and volunteering efforts. Our collaboration aims to enrich the lives of participants by offering opportunities for social engagement, skill development, and personal growth. Together, we are building a stronger, more inclusive community where everyone can shine.

Topcliffe Sing and Sign Club

Topcliffe Sing and Sign Club, is proudly run by our Director Kelly. This club provides children at one of our local primary schools with an introduction to basic British Sign Language (BSL) and helps them to begin to develop an awareness of Deaf culture. Through engaging activities and interactive sessions, children learn a variety of songs which they perform at key school events, fostering inclusivity and awareness of diversity whilst enhancing communication skills and confidence.

In addition to running the club, we are proud to provide all the children with t-shirts, promoting a sense of community and belonging. By participating in the Sing and Sign Club, we hope that the children are inspired to continue to learn BSL in the future, we keep our fingers crossed that a sing and signer might go on to study a GCSE in BSL! (Being introduced in 2025!)

By backing the Topcliffe Sing and Sign Club, we contribute to a community where everyone has a voice.
