Grid for ipad - 50% off!

Between 1st - 11th April, Smartbox are offering Grid for iPad with 50% discount to celebrate Autism Awareness Month.

Working as we do with Assistive Technology on a daily basis, we perhaps take for granted that the clients we support have access to the solutions they require, be that for communication, environmental control or access to their school work. It is important that we reflect that there are many people for whom such solutions are out of reach through no fault of their own and that we have a duty as professionals in this industry to highlight opportunities for as many people as possible to gain access to the products and services that they need.

Grid is such a fantastic solution to augment communication and we have seen huge success with our wonderful clients in their use of Grid for iPad in schools and out in the community. Being able to access communication on a device that many have access to for other means already is such a valuable commodity, here's hoping that by sharing this offer, someone is able to begin their AAC journey a little sooner than they thought.

The rapid increase in the use of Smart Home technology for our clients over the past year or so has been remarkable. We are constantly finding new ways to empower people to take control over their homes, their leisure time and their communication via Smart Speakers, mobile phone apps and standalone Smart Devices. The wonderful thing about our job is that we are often tasked with taking things one step further, often by parents or other adults supporting our clients, but also by the clients thems

If at first you don’t succeed…

If at first you don’t succeed…

This young man has worked so hard on his EyeGaze, switch and direct access skills over the past few years. He's a wonderful example of determination and self-belief. Here he is enjoying a story and making sure he plays his part to perfection even if it doesn't quite go to plan first time every time!
