It is such a valuable experience to be reminded of AAC solutions that may seem to some to be 'outdated', only to look at these with fresh perspective and exciting opportunities. Recently for me, this was for the 'Go Talk' range, and I'd like to talk about why ...

At access: technology we of course seek to explore how technology can facilitate independence, learning, fun and enrichment for all aspects of life. For some clients this might be a high tech solution, but for others it is a wholly unsuitable route to pursue for a variety of reasons, and is NO way an inferior option. I think this is why the Go Talk sparked my interest.

Go Talk is a range of AAC devices which merge a low tech communication board with an audio output system. Incredibly simple yet incredibly powerful! With different unit overall sizes and individual cell numbers, there are so many options to consider for a variety of access opportunities. I can see great opportunities for communication here, but also for demonstrating understanding within the classroom. Some devices are even wearable, pretty neat?!

Whether this is a step in the journey for an AAC user, or the end goal, it is wonderful to be reminded of the variety of options available to explore. I'd highly recommend having a browse through the range on the Inclusive website!
